Télémark

Télémark is a very ancient ski technique which, in modern times, is attracting more and more people.

With ESF our specialised telemark instructors can offer you training adapted to your wishes and needs, efficiently achieving your enjoyment and attaining your objectives.

Telemark is practiced either in private lessons or in private engagements.

Télémark is the ancestral technique of alpine skiing.  The descent is made with free heels, which permits one to make harmonious turns, called ‘telemark turns’. The telemark turn is made with a flexion of the interior leg. It is one of the most ancient disciplines of ski, invented in 1868 by a Norwegian County carpenter, Sondre Norheim.
